Time with Pine 2015 #4 Follow up on Show and tell Video

As indicated on the last video on the project channel I was not able to spend any time of consequence in the shop the previous week or so. Life gets so full and busy. I am convinced I could fill several full time jobs just pursuing hobbies and fun things to do. :)
Speaking of that my Time with Pine is a day late, I apologize! Again I was busy and was  not even sure I was going to do one this week as my project video was not really even a project per say.      No matter what you make from scraps it always seems to get a lot of appreciation. I suppose so many of us have this common problem of not wanting to throw those small pieces of wood away and yet we don’t know what to do with them. These scrap wood projects are very popular and are a lot of fun! Taking what would seem to be small, useless pieces of wood and making something useful is very satisfying!
The cutting boards are nothing special really, you can get creative with the different shapes you make and it also is a lot of fun. Who does not like a cutting board?
I am on the mailing list for Mr Tim Schmoyer and his  you tube channel as well “Video Creators” that teach us how to build your youtube channels.  He sent out an email this last week or so and I so identified with the message he put forward. We should not try to get our validation from how many subscribers we have or from how many thumbs up we get on a  video. Not even how successful we feel or don’t feel in regards to our video and the like.
To quote part of his article
“As long as we’re looking to other people and YouTube analytics to fulfill that desire to feel wanted, desired, and respected, we will always be chasing something that’s very fleeting. “
His article in full below is so well done and really is true!  I hope you will take the time to read it and think about what you are trying to accomplish with your channel and your presence on you tube.
Honestly I got started because I wanted to be a part of it. It looked like so much fun and it is! I also thought hey I can do this!  So I started my humble channel and in many ways it remains humble but I have gotten to meet online many new friends and maybe I will even get to meet them one day in person. If nothing else comes from this then I call that a win! I watch many channels and see many people succeeding in there numbers! Hey great for them! They are working hard at it and I wish them all the success in the world!   The article can be seen from the link below!
As always I look forward to what is to come! God bless and see you soon!

Chris
